At only one-year old, baby Kallih was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Kim Mapp was afraid of what this would mean for her only daughter, and how it would affect her daily life.
“We try to balance it from day to day,” said Kallih’s step-dad, Will. “Kallih having diabetes can be hard to deal with, but we are very proud because she handles herself very well. Kallih loves everything. She loves to play outside, and she loves to play with her dog. She’s just full of energy.”
